Management of Technology (MOT)
The MOT Program

Technology at Sandia National Labs The Management of Technology program was recently ranked number 6 in the US among technology management programs and in the top 50 worldwide by the International Association of Management of Technology (IAMOT).

Mission

The mission of the MOT program is to develop professionals who enable firms, both large and small, in the public and private sector to excel in the technology-based economy. Supporting this development is the engagement in NM economic development activities and the generation of world-class research in technology commercialization.

  • Forecast technological needs within the commercial world
  • Start and/or build businesses based on technology
  • Evaluate the strategic impact of technology on current operations
  • Examine the role of strategic alliances
  • Evaluate new ventures based upon patents, licenses and other intellectual property positions.
